Top 5 Film & Television Apps on Android in Qatar Q4 2021

During the fourth quarter of 2021, the film and television app market on the Android platform in Qatar showed notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five applications.

MX Player observed a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with a peak of approximately 3.4K in the week of December 20. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around 82K to 89K, with a notable increase in the week of December 13.

Netflix experienced a gradual rise in downloads, peaking at around 2.1K in the week of December 20. Active user numbers saw minor ups and downs, generally staying between 75K and 85K, ending the quarter with about 80K active users.

ZEE5: Movies, TV Shows, Series had a relatively stable download trend, with minor fluctuations and a peak of around 1.7K in mid-October. Active users remained steady, oscillating between 13K and 15K throughout the quarter.

Viu: Dramas, TV Shows & Movies showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, rising to approximately 2.1K by the end of December. Weekly revenue also saw a steady climb, reaching around $124 in the last week of the year. Active users increased from about 10K at the start of the quarter to approximately 12.6K by the end.

OSN+ demonstrated a notable performance with weekly revenue peaking at around $1.6K in late September and again at $1.3K in December. Downloads peaked at about 1.6K in mid-October. The number of active users varied, starting from around 5.6K and reaching up to 9.2K in mid-October.
